The convention was organised aiming to find the way forward in terms of sharing experiences for policy influencing and promoting the business of faecal sludge. This daylong event focused on resource mobilisation for ensuring and scaling up sustainable FSM services in Bangladesh.

Dr Roaxana Quader, Additional Secretary, Local Government Division, Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-Operatives, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Engr. Md. Saifur Rahman, Chief Engineer, Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE) was present as the special guest and Dr Sultan Ahmed, Director General, Department of Environment (DoE) was the guest of honour.

Designated guests from Ministry of Health, Bangladesh Bank, DPHE, LGED, BARI, BRTA, development organisations, civil society, financial institutions, academia and private sector participated the event.
